finally figured out the POV - broke a few pots and pulled my hair out over that, but yeah... it works now even if I am annoyed to have been wrong lol Now its all about putting my fingers to grind stone and getting it done :) riiiiiiiight.

I haven't even started yet, but I've got plenty of time...right?

Work has literally been sapping my will to live. I'm still hoping that:

1) things will get better
or
2) I'll get a new job

and I'll be able to get proper work done later this month.

Until then, I've been focused on trying to keep myself sane. ._.

Um...my plot has run away with me. 20k is the minimum, right?

I've written about 80k. I keep trying and trying to get to the end. I am going lose my mind.

I'm still working on it, but I'm currently battling writer''s block and lack of a beta - I've got about 7,500 words.

I'd be very grateful for one soon! I use dictation software due to a disability, and I don't always notice the errors that creep in because of it.

Meh! I have tried to use Dragon Naturally Speaking before and I gave up because it was too frustrating to deal with the errors. Anyway. I'm not familiar with the fandom you're writing in, but I wouldn't mind checking your work for language errors. Tell you what: PM or email me (lionchilde @ gmail . com) and let me know what you're looking for most in a beta. The other person hasn't responded yet and you have, so I can at least look over what you've written so far. You'd need someone else to check for characterization or continuity issues, though.

I'm tempted to drop out, being so far behind and about to head out on vacation. But you never know what might happen in the next month or so...

I'm stuck in the 'why bother' phase for a variety of reasons chief amongst them being a not-so-inspiring phone conversation with my mother. A few days with my kids kicking sense into my head should sort that, though (I hope) and will see May be a fury of productivity.

So! Yeah. I've started, I have an outline, but I'm considering changing everything and going in an entirely new direction, and life is kicking my ass in a very unforgiving way. I'm not dropping out now, but I can't be guaranteed to remember to check in later this week so I wanted to check in now, and I promise that if I do have to drop out, I'll let y'all know the minute I know.

Also, if anyone has any spare prayers lying around that they're not using, and would like to expend them on me and my family, I would totally accept that.

Okay, I'm going to have to drop out. I lost my dad in April and now my mom on Wednesday night, a few hours after my last comment, and though neither was exactly unexpected, I didn't expect it so soon. I think that even though I don't even know how to feel right now, it's unrealistic to think I'm going to be able to complete the challenge. Which sucks, but I'd rather drop out now than wait until the last minute and potentially leave y'all scrambling.

I'll certainly look forward to the go-live, though! and am cheering everyone on. :)

Very slowly is probably an understatement, because all I've really been doing for a month is working, but I have notes and a beginning and a sort of outline and scenes in my head, so I'm hoping to finally sit down and get a real move on.
